Niveau de preuve : Preuves émergentes
Des recherches humaines et/ou animales existent et s’accumulent, mais la base de preuves n’est pas encore aussi étendue qu’un médicament approuvé.
Preuves humaines : Reasonably substantial topical/cosmetic human trial base; injectable human safety data is comparatively limited.
Preuves animales : Wound-healing and hair-follicle rodent studies support the mechanism.
Introduction et mécanisme d'action
Copper-binding peptide studied in extracellular-matrix and tissue-remodeling pathways.
Naturally occurring copper-binding tripeptide; studied for stimulating collagen/elastin synthesis and modulating matrix metalloproteinase activity in skin and wound models.
Récepteurs/cibles : Not receptor-mediated in the classical sense — acts via copper delivery and matrix-signaling modulation

Reconstitute with 2 mL bacteriostatic water
Bacteriostatic Water (BAC Water) is the only recommended diluent. Do not dilute with sterile water, normal saline, lidocaine, or any other solution unless explicitly specified by the manufacturer.
Guide de manipulation
Pratique générale de manipulation en laboratoire, citée à titre de référence — non une instruction personnalisée. Tout usage humain doit suivre l'avis d'un médecin agréé.
Wash hands and clean the injection site with an alcohol swab. Pinch a fold of skin and insert the needle at a 45–90° angle for standard subcutaneous injection (abdomen, thigh, or upper arm). Inject slowly, withdraw, and apply gentle pressure. Rotate injection sites to reduce irritation, and dispose of needles in an approved sharps container.
Conservation
Store lyophilized (powder) vials in a freezer at -20°C, protected from light. Once reconstituted with bacteriostatic water, refrigerate at 2–8°C and use within the timeframe recommended in your supplier documentation — typically 2–4 weeks.
Surveillance
Monitor for injection-site reactions and the side effects listed above. Stop use and consult a physician if severe or persistent reactions occur. This is a general monitoring guideline, not a personalized medical monitoring plan.
Effets secondaires
- Injection-site irritation
- Topical redness or sensitivity
Contre-indications
- Known copper-metabolism disorders (e.g. Wilson's disease)
- Pregnancy
Interactions médicamenteuses
- Not well characterized; theoretical interaction with other copper-chelating or copper-containing supplements
Sécurité
- Copper accumulation theoretical concern with prolonged high-dose use
- Injection-site reactions for the injectable route
Evidence differs sharply by route and formulation. FDA notes limited human safety data for injectable compounded GHK-Cu.
Résultats attendus et comparaison
GHK-Cu is the common active ingredient inside the blended GLOW and KLOW products — evidence for GHK-Cu alone is stronger than for either blend, since blend-specific combination trials do not exist.
