Preuves humaines : Approved in some countries (marketed as Zadaxin) for specific indications including certain hepatitis and as an oncology adjunct; not FDA-approved in the United States.
Preuves animales : Extensive preclinical immunology literature on thymic peptide function.
Introduction et mécanisme d'action
Immune-modulating peptide studied in infectious-disease and oncology-adjunct research contexts.
Thymic peptide that modulates T-cell maturation and function; studied as an immune-response modulator rather than a direct antimicrobial or antitumor agent, often as an adjunct to other treatment.
Récepteurs/cibles : Toll-like receptors (proposed modulatory interaction, not a classical agonist relationship)

Escalade et entretien : A dedicated weekly escalation and maintenance schedule specific to this peptide has not yet been published here — follow the dose range and frequency above, titrating conservatively from the low end, and consult a physician before adjusting.
|---|---|---|---|
| Standard Protocol | subcutaneous | 1× daily, subcutaneous | 400 mcg |

Reconstitute with 2 mL bacteriostatic water
Bacteriostatic Water (BAC Water) is the only recommended diluent. Do not dilute with sterile water, normal saline, lidocaine, or any other solution unless explicitly specified by the manufacturer.
Wash hands and clean the injection site with an alcohol swab. Pinch a fold of skin and insert the needle at a 45–90° angle for standard subcutaneous injection (abdomen, thigh, or upper arm). Inject slowly, withdraw, and apply gentle pressure. Rotate injection sites to reduce irritation, and dispose of needles in an approved sharps container.
Conservation
Store lyophilized (powder) vials in a freezer at -20°C, protected from light. Once reconstituted with bacteriostatic water, refrigerate at 2–8°C and use within the timeframe recommended in your supplier documentation — typically 2–4 weeks.
Surveillance
Monitor for injection-site reactions and the side effects listed above. Stop use and consult a physician if severe or persistent reactions occur. This is a general monitoring guideline, not a personalized medical monitoring plan.
Effets secondaires
- Injection-site reaction
- Mild flu-like symptoms (reported in some trials)
Contre-indications
- Known hypersensitivity
- Organ transplant recipients on immunosuppressive therapy (theoretical concern given immune-modulating mechanism)
Interactions médicamenteuses
- Immunosuppressive medications — theoretical opposing-mechanism interaction
Sécurité
- Generally well-tolerated in published trials, but evidence quality varies sharply by indication studied
Approval status varies significantly by country; evidence quality differs sharply by indication studied.
Résultats attendus et comparaison
Thymosin Alpha-1 targets systemic immune modulation via T-cell signaling, while KPV targets localized anti-inflammatory effects (notably gut-focused) — different research questions within the broader immune-support category rather than directly competing options.
